In 1913, politicians bought disinformation, hook, line, and sinker.

In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson put America on the skid slide to Hell when he imprudently approved the Federal Reserve Act. A few years later, he reflected:

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world -- no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

A century before Thomas Jefferson said much the same thing:

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks....will deprive the people of all property until their children wakeup homeless on the continent their fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

In late July 2009, Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke took part in a town hall style forum on a Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri.

Bernanke defended the Federal Reserve's actions in bailing out financial institutions. Ben Bernanke said he had to "hold his nose" because some of last fall's bailouts really stunk to high Heaven. But he didn't want to be the Federal Reserve chairman when the second great depression occurred. The town hall aired on PBS in late July or early August.

Texas Congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has sponsored bills to audit the run-amuk Federal Reserve. He visited West Michigan and spoke exclusively with WZZM 13 News. Paul says his candidacy brought out the energy of people who want stricter government economic policies that control the out-of-control inflation promoting Federal Reserve.

We wish him Luck! Most politicuans are complete idiots allowing the Fed to do anything it desires.

"They're very interested in limiting government... and actually, believe it or not, young people are interested in what the Federal Reserve is doing. That fascinates me to no end."

Ron Paul states that the federal government is doing exactly the wrong thing to fix the economic downturn by spending more. (like Japan did in the 1990s and failed.) However, he says the American people individually are doing the right thing by taking another look at their budgets and living within their means.
